Cant create QR Code EPS with transparent background

Oct 4, 2011 at 11:55 PM

The working example using this code on http://qrcode.good-survey.com/ has advanced options that allow selecting a transparent background or foreground... But the REST API doesnt seem to support this, or at least I cant see how you do it.. Does anyone know how you can specify this advanced option in the REST call to generate a QR code with transparent background?  Thanks!

REST API 3.0 supports alpha channel for defining foreground and background color. Color is formatted as #AARRGGBB hex string (note that # is url-encoded as %23). Transparent color is defined as #00FFFFFF where alpha = 0 and other channels play no role here.

Here is an example:
http://www.esponce.com/api/v3/generate?content=Hello+World&format=eps&background=%2300ffffff&attachment=true&filename=hello-world-transparent.eps

Simple alternative is to specify color by name, "transparent" in this case:
http://www.esponce.com/api/v3/generate?content=Hello+World&format=eps&background=transparent&attachment=true&filename=hello-world-transparent.eps

Esponce API also provides the transparent option, including the alpha channel, for raster or vector formats.
